Mini Case Study: Apartment Ventilation in Belgrade

Project Challenge
The apartment had approximately 100 square meters and was located in a new building in New Belgrade. It was already occupied and in daily use. That meant the apartment ventilation system had to be a retrofit installation.
The challenges were clear:

- The solution had to be fast, efficient, and discreet.

Ventilation system calculations were performed online, on the server of our German partner, in line with international standards.
After several days of planning and organizing the work, the central apartment ventilation system with heat recovery (HRV – Heat Recovery Ventilation) was fully implemented in just three days.

Installation Details
Marquis Intelligence placed the devices inside a custom-built niche in the closet, while the technical team ensured that the system blended seamlessly with the interior design.
They extended the air distribution system through the hallway and living room, thus creating a unified central ventilation zone for the entire apartment.
To achieve optimal airflow and balanced air distribution, Marquis Intelligence utilized special diffusers designed to harness the Coandă effect.
Measurement Results
After Marquis Intelligence completed the installation and started the system, they performed control measurements. The results were precise:
With the apartment ventilation system on, the concentration of PM particles smaller than 0.3 µm was 20 times lower compared to natural ventilation (opening windows).
Why does this matter?
Because particles often carry oxides, heavy metals, and even microbes. By eliminating PM2.5 particles, especially the ultrafine ones, the indoor air quality improves significantly.

Additional Measurements
Marquis Intelligence also measured CO, formaldehyde, and ozone. The levels of these pollutants were not detectable.
All measurements taken by the team were conducted at stable humidity and temperature levels, which are essential for comfort and health.
